Economics is a branch of social science deals with the study and analysis of how people use and react to resources, wealth, money, goods and services. Economics also analyzes and describes production, distribution, consumption of goods and services. 'Economics' comes from two Greek words, 'eco' meaning home and 'nomos' meaning accounts. Corporate economics is a field in applied economics which is concerned with the application of economic principles and methodologies to the decision-making process within the corporate firms. It seeks to establish rules and principles to facilitate the attainment of the desired economic goals of management of corporate firms. Bachelor of Arts or B.A. in Corporate Economics is a three year graduate course with six semesters of study. This course is designed to teach the theoretical and practical aspects of Corporate Economics and thus the students can achieve the ability to analyze the business environment and its impact on the corporate firms. The course also helps students to develop analytical, judgmental, presentation and communication skills.
