Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages belonging to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-European languages and this classical language is one of the twenty two official languages of India. Bachelor of Arts or B.A. in Sanskrit is a three year graduate course with six semesters of study. The aim of the course is to teach Sanskrit language and literature, and also to understand the cultural and social aspects of Sanskrit language and literature.
