Aquaculture is the science of cultivating aquatic organisms especially for human consumption and it is also known as aqua farming. Aquaculture involves the process of rearing, breeding and harvesting of aquatic species, both animals and plants, in controlled aquatic environments. Bachelor of Science or B.Sc. in Aquaculture is a three year graduate program designed to teach the science of aquatic life. This six semester program is a detailed study of functional forms of aquaculture and aqua farming. Aquaculture provides knowledge about the scientific facts about aquatic life including health issues, harvesting, production, marketing and other facts and aspects of species existing or living in water.
