B.Sc. Biological Techniques & Specimen Preparation

Eligibility: Plus two or equivalent
Course Level : Undergraduate (UG)
Duration : 3 Years
Description :

Bachelor of Science or B.Sc. in Biological Techniques and Specimen Preparation is a three year graduate course in the field of biological science. Biological techniques are methods or procedures that are used to study living things including experimental and computational methods, approaches, protocols and tools for biological research. This six semester course covers areas including methods and techniques for the collection, preparation and preservation of biological samples and specimens, laboratory safety rules, equipments used in the laboratory, types, functions and care for the equipment. Specimen preparation is important in all microscopical technique and it ranges from direct and simple methods to complex methods. The primary objective of such methods is to preserve the structure of the surfaces of the specimens with minimal change in spatial arrangement.
