Bachelor of Science or B.Sc. in Food Science and Quality Control is a three year graduate course designed to teach the latest principles, practices, and terminology of food science and quality management systems to provide an understanding of food science and quality management system. Food Science teaches the physical, biological and chemical principles and techniques used for food making, processing and storing. Quality Control is the process of setting the measures, procedures and criteria to ensure the quality of products produced. This is an interdisciplinary program involving food chemistry, food processing, food biology, food packaging, microbiology, and quality control. This six semester course provides good skills and knowledge to students to produce, store and manage quality foods by imparting better nutrition, sanitation and hygiene concepts.
