Food Technology uses and exploits knowledge of food science and food engineering to produce various foods. It is the application of chemical, biological and physical principles and techniques that used in food production, processing and storing. B.Tech or Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology is a four-year professional undergraduate engineering program designed to provide in-depth knowledge of science and technology, and develops skills for selection, storage, preservation, processing, packaging, distribution of safe, nutritious, wholesome, desirable as well as affordable, convenient foods. This program help students to systematically organize and link the various kinds of knowledge which are necessary to inform human activity in food handling, processing, distribution and marketing.
