B.Tech or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering - Production is a four-year professional undergraduate engineering program with eight semesters of study. Mechanical Engineering deals with the design, production, and operation of machineries, parts or apparatus that generate, uses or applies mechanical power, transforms or transmits force or motion for a specific purpose. Main objective of Mechanical Engineering is to produce goods and services for benefit to humankind. Production Engineering is deals with the various process required to produce parts and to assemble them into machines and mechanisms. This engineering program is formulated to teach mechanical engineering by giving special importance to production engineering. This program provides knowledge in the designing, development, fabrication, and testing of machines or parts and provides knowledge in various aspects of production operations such as monitoring production operations, ensuring safety protocols, evaluating staff’s performance, strategizing on maximizing productivity, increase profitability etc.
