Master of Laws (LL.M) in Criminal Law is a two year master’s degree program in the field of law. LL.M is also known as Magister Legum or Legum Magister. Criminal law is the set of rules and laws formed to define and control criminal offenses and related procedures. It describes and guides various criminal procedures like the process of investigation, fixes penalties and punishments, arrest to sentencing and trial of suspected persons etc. The purpose of the course is to explain about the various dimensions and aspects of criminal laws and to enhance the competency of lawyers, law persons and researchers in criminal laws.
