Statistics is the branch of science which deals with the collection, organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data in large quantities. Applied Statistics is concerned with the application of statistics and its techniques to solve problems. Statistics is concerned about statistical problems, while applied statistics concerned about using statistics for solving other problems. Data Analytics is a multi-disciplinary field which uses logical techniques, procedures, calculations and frameworks to inspect, clean, transform and separate information and knowledge from organized and unstructured data. Data analysis is to bind together statistics, data investigation, AI and their related techniques so as to understand, analyze and refine data, and thus to separate the needful information. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Applied Statistics and Data Analytics is a two year postgraduate program which combines the concepts of statistics, data analytics and machine learning. This four semester program teaches the methods and methodologies for applying statistical theories and techniques to solve problems and also provide skills and knowledge in data science concepts like machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc. in order to solve well defined data analysis problems.
