Aquaculture is the science of cultivating aquatic organisms especially for human consumption and it is also known as aqua farming. Aquaculture involves the process of rearing, breeding and harvesting of aquatic species, both animals and plants, in controlled aquatic environments. Fish processing is the post harvesting process associated with fish and fish products. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Aquaculture and Fish Processing is a two year postgraduate program with four semesters. This course helps students to deepen their knowledge in areas like Fish Biology, Micro techniques, Aquaculture and Fish Processing Technology. The course provides good knowledge and technical skills in Fish Capture Technology, Fish Processing Technology and Microbiology and Quality Control and that will equip them in their professional work in the field of aquaculture and fish processing.
