Biochemistry is the branch of science which deals with the study of chemical process within and related to living organisms. This branch of science is a combination of biology and chemistry which uses chemical methods and techniques to find, understand and solve biological problems. The main objective of biochemistry is the complete understanding at the molecular level of all the chemical processes that maintain the life and thus can find explanations for the causes of many diseases in humans, animals and plants. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Biochemistry is a postgraduate program with a span of two years of study. This four semester program provides a sound knowledge of biochemistry in order to understand the concepts of molecular genetics. The course gives theoretical and practical knowledge in the principal methodologies and techniques for investigation of biomolecules, its operations and for the molecular basis of diagnosis etc.
