Biophysics is an interdisciplinary branch of science which uses and applies the methods and principles of physics and chemistry and the methods of mathematical analysis and computer modeling to study biological process and phenomena. The ultimate goal of biophysics is to understand the function of biological systems and to do research in biophysics to prevent and treat disease, drug development and also to create new technology for a better sustainable human live. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Biophysics is a two year postgraduate program with four semesters of study. This course is designed to teach how to apply the principles of physical sciences to understand and solve biological complexities. The program provides knowledge on the quantitative analysis of the physical and chemical aspects of the functions of biological molecules, organisms and entities. The program is designed to provide the students a broad based training in Biophysics with strong theoretical knowledge of the concepts of biophysics as well as exposing them to the advanced fields.
