Master of Science or M.Sc. in Counseling Psychology is a two-year postgraduate course designed to provide students with a sound foundation for the practice of counseling, with multifaceted focus on psychological, emotional, social, vocational, educational, health related, human development principles and examine cognitive, effective, behavioral and systemic treatment methods. It trains the students to be ethical, effective, skilled and culturally sensitive professionals able to function in a variety of settings with diverse client population. This four-semester course equips the students with knowledge, imparts right attitudes and trains them in skills and professionalism to practice counseling in a wide range of settings with a high level of competence and compassion, that are necessary for assessing the problems of individuals and groups, and to seek solution for the same through counseling psychology.
