Dietetics is the science of applying nutrition principles to diet and nutrition is the process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health and growth. Food service management is the art and science of providing food and beverages aesthetically and scientifically to people, in a satisfactory and cost effective way in order to ensure smooth operations on a daily basis. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Dietetics and Food Service Management is a two year postgraduate course comes under the discipline of food science which is designed to provide students with a broad educational background in the science of food, nutrition, diet and food service management. This four semester postgraduate program provides good theoretical and practical knowledge in nutrition and dietetics in various physiological, therapeutic and special conditions. And also the students can gain good theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in every aspects of food service management.
