Disaster Management is defined as the organization, management and utilization of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all the humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and recovery in order to reduce the impact of disasters. Otherwise it is referred as the conservation of lives and property during natural or man-made disasters. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Disaster Management is a two year postgraduate course with four semesters of study. This course is designed to teach and to provide training to students to develop them a balanced and skillful professional who can contribute actively to the field of disaster management practice.
