Master of Science or M.Sc. in Family Resource Management is a postgraduate course with a span of two years of study. This four semester course is designed to deepen the knowledge in various processes of resource productions, its usage, decision making etc in family and community. Family Resource Management is a branch of home science which deals with the study of the process which individuals and families use what they have to get what they want. Resources are defined as anything that we use to achieve our goals. And management is the wise and planned use of these resources to achieve desired goals. This course provides skills and knowledge to strengthen the science and practice of family resource management to develop healthy and equitable families and communities using state-of-the-art qualitative and quantitative methods. The course helps to deepen the knowledge in different aspects of family resource management like significance of management in day-to-day life, the steps involved in the management process, motivating factors in management, role of decision – making etc.
