Master of Science or M.Sc. in Fishery Biology and Aquaculture is a two year postgraduate program which is designed to deepen the knowledge in fisheries biology and aquaculture. Fishery Biology is the study of the interaction among fish population, the environment, and humans. It is the organized knowledge regarding the natural supply of fishes and it teaches the biological and ecological aspects of fisheries. Aquaculture is the science of cultivating aquatic organisms especially for human consumption and it is also known as aqua farming. Aquaculture involves the process of rearing, breeding and harvesting of aquatic species, both animals and plants, in controlled aquatic environments. This four semester course is a well designed program to provide good theoretical and practical skills to the students in the field of fishery biology and aquaculture and that will equip them in their professional work in the field of fishery biology and aquaculture.
