M.Sc. Geology

Eligibility: Graduation in Geology or equivalent
Course Level : Postgraduate (PG)
Duration : 2 Years
Description :

Geology is an interdisciplinary subject which deals with the study of the earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. Geology also teaches how Earth's materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Geology is a two year postgraduate program with four semesters of study. This course deals with the detailed study of the various layers of the earth, the tectonic plates and the history of the evolution of the surface of the earth. Modern geology significantly overlaps all other Earth sciences, including hydrology and the atmospheric sciences. The course will helps students to increase their skills and practical knowledge in the different aspects related to earth science, like the minerals, sedimentation, the climatic conditions affecting the evolution of life and aspects related to them.
