Phytomedical Science and Technology is a branch of science which deals with the study of the methods used to analyze and characterize the medicinal properties of plants or plant extracts. This branch of science uses pharmacological principles and methods for the evaluation and use of herbal medicines. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Phytomedical Science and Technology is a two year postgraduate course with four semesters of study. This program is designed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in examine the safety and efficacy of currently used herbal medicines, analytical and bioassay methods, and the ethno pharmaceutical uses of plants from traditional systems of medicine.
