M.Sc. Statistics

Eligibility: Graduation in Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Application or equivalent
Course Level : Postgraduate (PG)
Duration : 2 Years
Description :

Statistics is the branch of science which deals with the collection, organization, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data in large quantities. Master of Science or M.Sc. in Statistics is a two year postgraduate program with four semesters of study. This course is designed to deepen the student’s knowledge in different aspects of Statistics and its techniques to solve real life problems and to understand the limitations of such techniques and the validity of the results. The program helps students to improve their ability to read, understand and construct correct mathematical and statistical proofs. Students can acquire the methods and methodologies for arriving at valid and logical conclusions to whatever problems under consideration by analyzing sample data sets. Also students can acquire statistical knowledge and skills appropriate for professional activities.
