M.Tech Hydraulics Engineering

Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or allied branches, or equivalent
Course Level : Postgraduate (PG)
Duration : 2 Years
Description :

Hydraulic Engineering deals with the application of the principles of fluid mechanics to problems dealing with the collection, storage, control, transport, regulation, measurement, and use of water. Master of Technology or M.Tech in Hydraulic Engineering is a two-year postgraduate program divided across four semesters, designed to provide technological and scientific knowledge to students for the application of engineering activities. It is mainly concerns with the flow of fluid, especially water and sewage too. This course is well suitable for those who want to have a deep knowledge of hydraulics along with mechanical such as introduction to maintenance tools, measuring tools etc. The hydraulic engineer actually develops conceptual designs for the various features, which interact with water such as spillways, and outlet works for dams, culverts for highways, canals and related structures for irrigation projects, and cooling-water facilities for thermal power plants etc. Hydraulic engineering also teaches the technical challenges involved with water infrastructure and sewerage design. This discipline is really all about fluid flow and how it behaves in large quantities.
