Post Basic B.Sc. or PB B.Sc. in Nursing is a two-year professional nursing program designed for the upgrading of nursing skills and theoretical knowledge, critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required to practice as an individual nursing and midwifery professional. This program intended to offer training to students with knowledge and skills in different nursing procedures and techniques including geriatric nursing, palliative nursing, community health nursing, clinical nursing, medical and surgical nursing, gynecological nursing etc. Nursing students are trained to take care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and life. The program provides skills and knowledge to assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients that contribute to health of individuals, families and communities. Moreover, students can achieve ability to participate as a member of health team in the promotive, preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system with good leadership qualities and decision-making abilities.
